Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Dump Truck Driver. You will haul fill, aggregates, concrete, and other construction-related debris and materials between construction, plant and dump sites. An AZ or DZ license is required, with a minimum of 2 year experience operating a dump truck.

Responsibilities include the safe operation of a tri-axle dump truck, for hauling fill, gravel or asphalt within the GTA.

 

Additional Responsibilities;

• Comply with MTO legislation related to safe vehicle operation, cargo securement, hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.

• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and inspect loads frequently to ensure that cargo is secure.

• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle inspections, service and repair status, following applicable federal and provincial regulations.

• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and vehicle damage

 

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of experience is preferred, with a clean driving record, with preferably an AZ designated license or required DZ designation.

• Any experience operating construction equipment or additional designations are valued (AZ/DZ).

Full-time Corporation + HST

Salary: $23.00 to $29.00 /hour (DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE AND PERFORMANCE DURING DRIVE TEST)
